Abstrak
Trinitas Kristen adalah suatu bentuk yang beragam dari iman monoteis, sebab iman apostolik berakar pada pengakuan Perjanjian Lama yang ditaati oleh Yesus: “Tuhan, Allah kita, Tuhan itu esa”. Alih-alih meninggalkan monoteisme, kekristenan justru dibangun di atas dasar tersebut. Belakangan ini, para teolog (termasuk Jürgen Moltmann) mengkritik monoteisme Kristen yang telah membayangi tritinarianisme dari Thomas Aquinas dan seterusnya. Hal ini berarti bahwa saat ini banyak orang Kristen yang menganut monoteis praktis dan Trinitas memiliki sedikit ruang dalam spiritualitas. Namun, ini bukan tantangan utama monoteisme Kristen dalam konteks dunia global saat ini.
