Abstrak

Teologi Reformed dengan tepat diambil tidak hanya dari pernyataan-pernyataan Alkitab, tetapi juga “apa yang benar-benar dapat dibuktikan” dari pernyataan-pernyataan tersebut. Namun bagaimana status bukti (atau konsekuensi logis) dari Kitab Suci? Lalu, berapa banyak “konsekuensi” yang dapat kita ambil di luar Kitab Suci sebelum menjadi spekulatif dan tidak lagi “baik” atau “perlu”? Teologi Reformed Injili perlu mengeksplorasi pemahaman dan formulasi yang lebih jelas tentang apa sebenarnya yang dimaksud dengan “konsekuensi yang baik dan perlu” dari Kitab Suci.

Martin Foord, Evangelical Theological College Asia, Singapore

Tesis master Marty adalah tentang doktrin pembenaran Richard Hooker. Sementara itu, gelar doktornya diraih dengan meneliti doktrin Injil dalam teologi sistematika pada awal Reformasi. Minat penelitiannya mencakup kanon Kitab Suci, hakikat Injil, pembenaran oleh iman, teologi misi, serta teologi Abad Pertengahan dan Reformasi.
